A group of hardworking devotees came together on Sunday, May 31, to care for the ashram's orchard and garden. The day started early with a group prayer in front of the fruit tree planted by Vaishnavi many years ago.
The dozen or so volunteers then set to work — weeding around the nearly fifty trees (including ten saplings grown at the ashram), watering, and, most importantly, spreading mulch from Reunity Resources around both the fruit trees and the ashram flower garden. The hard workers were treated to fresh chai and hot burritos, thanks to the generosity of the Burrito Project.
