Welcome to the Indianapolis Satsang

Our satsang gathers once a month to meditate, study Amma's teachings, chant her names and the thousand names of the Divine Mother, sing bhajans, and share a vegetarian potluck.

Whether you have known Amma for years or are simply curious, all are warmly welcome to join us.

When we dedicate ourselves solely to the well-being of others, it is our own mind that becomes pure. When you give your friend a bouquet of flowers, you are the one who first enjoys their beauty and fragrance. In the same way, you can derive happiness from selfless acts.

— Amma

Amma encourages devotees to gather regularly, whether weekly at a home or a hall, to sing, meditate, and pray together, and then to share a meal as a spiritual family. It is an atmosphere that steadies the mind, uplifts everyone present, and quietly shapes the children who grow up in it.

Satsang Schedule

Monthly

We meet once a month — either a Saturday at 5:30 PM or a Sunday at 10:00 AM (announced by email) — in devotees' homes. Our gathering includes guided meditation, a reading and discussion of Amma's teachings, chanting the 108 Names of Amma and the 1000 Names of the Divine Mother, bhajans, arati, and a vegetarian potluck. Newcomers are welcome — bring a dish to share if you like.
