Welcome to the Buffalo Satsang

Gathering since 1998, our satsang meets once a month to chant Amma's names, sing bhajans, and meditate together, and offers Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM) classes around the city.

Whether you have known Amma for years or are simply curious, all are warmly welcome to join us.

When we dedicate ourselves solely to the well-being of others, it is our own mind that becomes pure. When you give your friend a bouquet of flowers, you are the one who first enjoys their beauty and fragrance. In the same way, you can derive happiness from selfless acts.

— Amma

Amma encourages devotees to gather regularly, whether weekly at a home or a hall, to sing, meditate, and pray together, and then to share a meal as a spiritual family. It is an atmosphere that steadies the mind, uplifts everyone present, and quietly shapes the children who grow up in it.

Satsang Schedule

Monthly

We meet on the first Sunday of each month, 3:30–5:30 PM (occasionally the second or third Sunday), by rotation in devotees' homes. Our gathering includes chanting Amma's 108 Names, a short video of Amma, about an hour of devotional singing, arati, meditation, and prayers for world peace, followed by a potluck supper. We warmly welcome newcomers.

IAM Meditation

Our members offer classes in the Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique® (IAM) — a simple daily blend of gentle yoga, pranayama, and meditation — regularly at Buffalo's university campuses and other locations. Write to us to learn it.

Meditation
Children, never waste an opportunity to serve. The entire world looks up to those who have the heart to do selfless service.
