Amma's Youth Movement
AYUDH stands for Amrita Yuva Dharma Dhara, a Sanskrit term meaning "the youth who perpetuate the wheel of dharma (righteousness)"; in Sanskrit, AYUDH also means peace, symbolized by the dove in its logo. AYUDH empowers young people (ages 15–30) to integrate universal values into daily life. The Southeast chapter collaborates with 14 other chapters across the Americas.
Service in Action
AYUDH Atlanta grows gardens, serves food and makes care bags for the homeless, runs workshops and tutoring, and takes part in satsang life. During the pandemic, in partnership with the student-run service Food4Lives, AYUDH members cooked and delivered 3,322 nutritious vegetarian meals for Atlanta's homeless in 2020, and gathered more than 2,000 pieces of gently used clothing for distribution.
