Public Program with Br. Ramanand

All are welcome to a free Public Program in downtown Toronto with Br. Ramanand, one of Amma's longtime monastic disciples. The program will be held at Waldorf Academy, near Spadina and Dupont.

The Public Program will include:

  • Chanting and Bhajans (Indian Devotional Singing)
  • Spiritual Discourse
  • Prayers for World Peace and Arati

Light refreshments will follow program at 9:30 PM. The event is completely free and open to all. No advance registration is required. Newcomers and families with children are warmly welcomed.

Directions

Waldorf Academy is a 6-min walk from Dupont subway station. From Dupont Station, walk north along the east side of Spadina Road, past the Toronto Archive, to 263 Spadina Road, the Waldorf Academy Childcare Centre. Follow the walkway south of the Childcare Centre to enter the school through the back entrance in the back yard.

Limited metered parking is available on Madison Ave, Davenport Road, Dupont Avenue and adjacent streets. If arriving at the front entrance of Waldorf Academy at 250 Madison Avenue, kindly follow the walkway on the south side of the school into the backyard, and enter through the back entrance.

About Br. Ramanand

Br. Ramanand, a long time monastic disciple, first met Amma at the age of 3, and has had the good fortune of growing up at Amma's ashram from a very young age. Br. Ramanand directs the Amma's organizations and activities in the eastern US and Canada. He travels throughout the US and Canada conducting satsangs (spiritual gatherings), delivering talks at Universities, and sharing Amma's message of selfless service and love. A skilled musician, he has written and composed many devotional songs (bhajans). His melodious voice can often be heard alongside Amma’s during many bhajans. One can feel the divine grace flow through his soulful singing. Br. Ramanand is a PhD graduate in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. His talks, usually conveyed humorously, are very inspiring and uplifting.
