Navatratri celebrates the power of the feminine aspect of the Divine, in form of Durga (strength and positivity), Lakshmi (auspiciousness and prosperity) and Saraswati (knowledge and wisdom), to overcome negativities. To mark the tenth day of victory over negativities (Vijaya Dashami), Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya will perform a Devi Bhagavati Puja as per the ancient tantric tradition. The puja will be dedicated to Divine Mother in all these aspects, praying for strength, prosperity and wisdom in all situations in life. All are welcome to join via the MA Center East Coast YouTube channel. If you wish to have a sankalpa (spiritual resolve) made on your behalf during the puja, you may Register HERE >
On Vijaya Dashami, it is a tradition to perform Vidyarambham - a ritual marking a fresh start to the quest of seeking a higher goal. Individuals will be guided step-by-step through a puja (worship ritual) process to perform Vidyarambham. The puja will be accompanied by chants and bhajans. The evening will conclude with Amma's Arati and prayers for world peace.
Participants will be guided through simple steps to remotely participate in the puja, using the materials listed below. If you do not have the items listed below, you can still perform the steps mentally (manasa pooja):
