Weekend Silent Retreat with Swamiji & Swamini
Swami Dayamritananda Puri and Swamini Ambikamrita Prana will lead a silent retreat on Friday, May 2nd through Sunday, May 4th. The retreat will include a public program on Saturday, starting at 5:30 pm, that will be free to attend and open to everyone.

Silent retreats with Amma’s senior disciples offer the opportunity to deepen our inner connection with Amma and experience the deep inner peace and joy that is our true nature. Archana chanting, yoga and meditation, satsang (spiritual discourse), bhajans (devotional singing), question and answer sessions, nature walks, and more will be included in the retreat. We hope you can join us.

Homa: An auspicious Homa (sacred fire ceremony) will be performed by Swamini as part of the retreat. Attendance will be open to those registered for the retreat and/or registered for the Homa. If you wish, you may register for a sankalpa (special resolve) to be made during the homa on your behalf, or for a loved one, before May 2 at 8:30 PM,  here.

FEES:

  • First adult in a registration $120
  • All additional adults in registration $60
  • Students (18 and above) $50
  • Teens (13 - 17) $50

Registration Deadline: Online Registration will be open until Wednesday, April 30th at 10 PM PT. After this date, you will be able to register as a walk-in attendee with a $20 additional late registration fee per registrant.

Meals are included​.
Accommodations are not available​ onsite. Accommodations in the nearby cities of San Ramon, Castro Valley, Dublin, and Pleasanton are a short drive from ​MA Center. Please see a list of options here

AMRITA SRI(Silent Retreat Immersion)

Our true nature is peace, as evidenced by our constant yearning to realize it. Yet, mired in a world full of activity and distractions, we unknowingly estrange ourselves from our own true nature. We can protect our inner tranquility by withdrawing and immersing ourselves in an environment saturated with external silence while being guided to find that inner quietude, leading to a total rejuvenation of our being.
Amma is encouraging her centers around the world to conduct extended retreats of silent meditation to move towards a more peaceful world.

Amma’s monastic disciples based in North America, Sw. Dayamritananda Puri, Sw. Shantamritananda Puri, Swamini Ambikamrita Prana and Br. Ramanandamrita Chaitanya  are involved in organizing and conducting the silent retreats in various locations in North America. The focused structure of the retreat has been designed to support participants in cultivating the art of taking refuge in the Self. By learning to control the mind, we are able to experience the deep inner peace and joy that is our True Nature.
