Fruit Tree Planting

Plant Fruit Trees in the Amma Canada Orchard
The Amma Canada Farm Team needs your help to plant nineteen apple tree saplings and three pear tree saplings in the orchard. Amma is always encouraging us to both plant trees and grow food. Amma Canada now has a bountiful fruit harvest from the orchard because fifteen years ago volunteers planted fruit trees on the property. Let us pay it forward by planting new trees that will feed the community fifteen years from now! All those who want to help plant trees must dress appropriately for the weather and the muddy conditions in the orchard: Please wear rubber boots or other waterproof footwear, warm socks, gardening gloves, and clothes and warm jacket that you don't mind getting dirty (because you will definitely get dirty).
If there is enough maple sap collected this week, there will also be maple syrup making at the Amma Canada Centre this Saturday, March 28 from about 9:00 AM. Final confirmation of that will be sent out on the Farming WhatsApp group this Friday. Not on the Farming WhatsApp group yet? Please ask Brian or email ammatoronto@ammagroups.org.
