A Soup Kitchen Inspired by Amma
On the second Saturday of each month, Mother's Kitchen volunteers gather at Trinity Lutheran Church in Manhattan — at 164 West 100th Street, off Amsterdam Avenue — to cook and serve a warm vegetarian meal for those in need. Volunteers help with everything from setup and food preparation to cooking, serving and cleanup; newcomers are always welcome (please bring an apron and a hair covering).

A Movement of Compassion
Mother's Kitchen was founded in 1996, when devotees inspired by Amma began serving a small soup kitchen with meals twice a month. It has since grown to more than 40 chapters across the United States, Canada and Costa Rica.
Volunteers from MA Center NY have been actively participating in various Mother's Kitchen projects. We prepare and serve food for those in need in the NY/NJ area.

We are pleased to announce the return of Mother's Kitchen New York City, on Saturday, November 8th, 10 AM - 4 PM.
Volunteers are needed to set up, prep, serve and clean up. Please bring your favorite apron and hair covering.
