Amma's Youth Movement
AYUDH stands for Amrita Yuva Dharma Dhara, a Sanskrit term meaning "the youth who perpetuate the wheel of dharma (righteousness)"; in Sanskrit, AYUDH also means peace, symbolized by the dove in its logo. AYUDH seeks to empower young people to integrate universal values into their daily lives — starting with themselves — helping to establish a future of hope, peace and social engagement while maintaining an awareness of spiritual principles.
AYUDH is active across North American, European, Asian, Australian and African countries. The NY/NJ branch — with an active chapter at Drew University in New Jersey — organizes soup kitchens, tree-planting and clothing drives, coat drives and social events.
