Welcome to the Minneapolis Satsang

Our satsang gathers once a month for prayer, bhajans, and a shared meal, and carries Amma's love into the Twin Cities year-round through a remarkable breadth of service — feeding neighbors, gathering warmth for winter, and caring for the earth.

Whether you have known Amma for years or are simply curious, all are warmly welcome to join us.

When we dedicate ourselves solely to the well-being of others, it is our own mind that becomes pure. When you give your friend a bouquet of flowers, you are the one who first enjoys their beauty and fragrance. In the same way, you can derive happiness from selfless acts.

— Amma

Amma encourages devotees to gather regularly, whether weekly at a home or a hall, to sing, meditate, and pray together, and then to share a meal as a spiritual family. It is an atmosphere that steadies the mind, uplifts everyone present, and quietly shapes the children who grow up in it.

Satsang Schedule

Monthly

We meet on the last Saturday of each month, 4:30–7:30 PM, at a member's home. Our gathering includes prayer, bhajans, arati, and heartfelt sharing, followed by a vegetarian potluck. All are warmly welcome to join us.

Feeding Our Neighbors

Through the year our members cook and serve meals at Simpson Shelter, pack meals with Feed My Starving Children and Second Harvest Heartland, and prepare food for neighbors in need across the Twin Cities.

Warmth & Essentials Drives

We gather winter clothing and blankets (the ‘Share the Warmth’ drive), assemble laundry pods and school-supply packs, and hold food and toiletry drives with Interfaith Outreach — small acts that meet real needs.

GreenFriends & Youth

Our members plant trees in South Saint Paul and care for the earth in Amma's spirit, and our Minnesota AYUDH youth lead their own service and fundraising projects.
