Amma is aware of the devastating fires in and around Los Angeles. Seeing the suffering of everyone is heartbreaking. She prays to the Supreme Consciousness to grant mental and inner strength to all who are suffering. Swami Dayamritananda Puri, Executive Director of the M.A. Centers, traveled to Los Angeles to support the relief efforts.
In collaboration with AYUDH LA, M.A. Center LA organized a supplies drive to assist those affected by the fires. A dedicated group of volunteers visited PACTL, where they sorted and packaged supplies—including blankets, diapers, snacks, and water—into boxes for distribution. The team also delivered hot meals, fresh fruit, and bread to help feed displaced families who came to collect supplies.
During the visit, volunteers noted that many other relief centers had an ample supply of resources, which was reassuring for the immediate needs of affected communities. Even so, M.A. Center LA remained focused on providing long-term support, recognizing that the need for assistance often extends well beyond the initial response phase.
Through collaboration, dedication, and thoughtful planning, M.A. Center LA and AYUDH LA continue to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by the fires. Their commitment to both immediate relief and sustainable, long-term support underscores their mission to serve the community in times of need.
