On Saturday, 18 April 2026, AYUDH and GreenFriends collaborated to take part in Heal the Bay's beach clean-up day at Santa Monica Beach – the largest event of its kind in Los Angeles County.
Heal the Bay has protected the coastal waters and watersheds of the greater Los Angeles area for forty years through scientific research, policy advocacy and public outreach.
The collaboration was a precious opportunity for many generations of Amma's children to gather and offer seva together. They voiced and listened to each other's life experiences, concerns, dreams and spiritual reflections while serving Nature and the broader community of nature-loving citizens. Their diverse perspectives showcased the compassionate inspiration Amma has given her children, and the many sincere ways they work to express it in the world.
