Children Are the Future

In 2009, Amma requested the creation of a children's program called the Amrita Bala Kendra (ABK). Rooted in Amma's teachings, the program combines spiritual topics with fun, engaging activities — stories, games, music, and arts and crafts — to help prepare children for adulthood and life's challenges, and to cultivate universal human values from a young age.
ABK classes at M.A. Center DC are open to children ages 4 to 12 and typically meet weekly for about 90 minutes. There is no enrollment fee; a nominal charge covers class materials. To learn more, email abk@ammadc.org.
