M.A. Center DC witnessed yet another colorful holiday season. The ashram was lit with decoration lights, with a Christmas tree by the entrance gate and another inside the ashram building — a warm reflection of the center's embrace of every tradition.
Christmas
The Amrita Bala Kendra children decorated the Christmas tree inside the ashram and set up a nativity crèche, while the AYUDH youth decorated the tree by the entrance gate and strung the lights around the ashram. On December 26th, Christmas carols and a live nativity scene made for a festive program — the DC satsang carolers lifted everyone's spirits, joined by the Bala Kendra children.
Hanukkah
Hanukkah was observed at M.A. Center DC from December 6th to 14th. Each evening, along with the daily prayers (arati), Hanukkah blessings were offered and the candles on the menorah were lit — a beautiful expression of the center's respect for all faiths.
