Mother’s Kitchen provides free meals in partnership with local outreach groups serving communities in San Francisco, Berkeley, San Jose, Monterey, Sonoma County and Santa Cruz. The original Mother’s Kitchen was founded in Oakland in 1996 by MA Center San Ramon; today more than 40 chapters serve throughout the United States and Canada, together providing more than 145,000 meals for the homeless and hungry each year.
Where We Serve
Berkeley — twice a month, contact-free pantry bags with fresh produce, protein, staples and snacks for the housed, plus sandwiches and non-perishables for the unhoused, reaching at least 90 people each time. San Francisco — volunteers prepare lunch bags at St. Cyprian’s on Fridays for at-risk youth, seniors and people with AIDS. Contact Michael at micmusic@gmail.com.
