Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights, celebrates the victory of light over darkness, goodness over evil, and dharma over adharma.
Amma reminds us that Diwali is also an opportunity to light the lamp of goodness within our own hearts, dispelling the darkness of ignorance and negativity. When we come together with faith and love, we can bring that light into the world around us.
Join us this Saturday at MA Center San Ramon for a special Diwali celebration during our weekly satsang. The evening will include lighting traditional diyas (clay lamps), a special skit presented by Amrita Balakendra bringing the stories and significance of Diwali to life, uplifting bhajans, and a special poori dinner.
Come dressed in your favorite Indian festive attire! You're also welcome to bring sweets to share with the community, a cherished Diwali tradition.
Please RSVP for dinner by Thursday at 10 PM to help our Kitchen team plan: Dinner RSVP.
