Welcome to the Nebraska Satsang

Founded in 2007 and now reaching across Nebraska, our satsang holds devotional singing close to its heart — gathering to chant, meditate, and sing bhajans in English and Spanish, and serving through Mother's Kitchen and GreenFriends.

Whether you have known Amma for years or are simply curious, all are warmly welcome to join us.

When we dedicate ourselves solely to the well-being of others, it is our own mind that becomes pure. When you give your friend a bouquet of flowers, you are the one who first enjoys their beauty and fragrance. In the same way, you can derive happiness from selfless acts.

— Amma

Amma encourages devotees to gather regularly, whether weekly at a home or a hall, to sing, meditate, and pray together, and then to share a meal as a spiritual family. It is an atmosphere that steadies the mind, uplifts everyone present, and quietly shapes the children who grow up in it.

Satsang Schedule

Weekly

We hold a weekly class by video with Br. Shantamrita Chaitanya, and monthly bhajan practices led by professional musicians — devotional song is at the center of our practice. All are warmly welcome.

Monthly

Our main satsang is the second Saturday of each month, 6:30–8:00 PM (with an optional Sri Lalita Sahasranama chant at 5:30), including chanting the 108 Names of Amma, meditation, spiritual discussion, devotional singing, and a vegetarian meal. We also gather for bhajans on the fourth Sunday, 3:30–5:00 PM. Newcomers are always welcome.

Mother's Kitchen

Our members cook and serve meals for people who are unhoused in Omaha and Lincoln, sharing Amma's love one plate at a time. Newcomers are always welcome to help.

Through GreenFriends we tend community gardens, care for the earth, and lead green activities for children — small hands learning to love nature. Come dig in with us.

GreenFriends
Children, never waste an opportunity to serve. The entire world looks up to those who have the heart to do selfless service.
