Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique
The Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique (IAM) is a simple, powerful practice designed by Amma that combines yoga, pranayama (breathing) and meditation. Taught free of charge by trained, instructor-certified volunteers, it can be practiced by anyone regardless of age or background, and takes about 20–30 minutes a day.
Practice at MA Center Chicago
MA Center Chicago offers a Guided IAM-35 Meditation Session on Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. — in person in the South Lodge Community Room and via Zoom — open to those who have completed the full IAM-35 course. The center periodically holds full-day IAM classes for newcomers who wish to learn the technique. MA Center Chicago also observes World Meditation Day each year, inviting the wider community to sit together in silence.
