Swamini Ambikamrita Prana will perform an auspicious Ganapathy and Mahalaya Amavasya Tila Homa (sacred fire ceremony).
GANAPATHY HOMA: Lord Ganesha is considered the remover of obstacles. This homa is performed to invoke his blessings to help clear hurdles, delays or blocks obstructing one's personal or professional goals. It is regularly conducted before starting something new, be it business, new home, getting married, or embarking on major life changes to aid a smooth and auspicious beginning. The positive spiritual vibrations of this sacred fire ceremony acts as a spiritual shield against negative energies. Prayers help to foster a calm mind and peaceful supportive bonds within the family.
MAHALAYA AMAVASYA TILA HOMA: Pujas performed on the day of Mahalaya Amavasya, also called Sarva Pitra Moksha Amavasya, are considered most beneficial for deceased family members and ancestors, regardless of when they passed away. On this day, Swamini will be conducting a Tila Homa (Vedic fire ceremony) to pay homage to departed souls. Please note: For the Tila homa, there is no need to know the time or day of passing.
In keeping with Amma's wish that Homas for her devotees who have passed away be performed periodically, MA Center Chicago will make a special sankalpa for them during the Tila Homa.
All are welcome to attend. You may register for a personal sankalpa (special resolve) to be made during the homa on your behalf, or for a loved one. Those who register for sankalpa do not need to be present to receive the benefits of the Homa. Click here if you would like to register for a special resolve/sankalpa.
