Durga Puja — December 14
Br. Shantamrita Chaitanya conducted a Durga Puja at M.A. Center Dallas on the 14th of December, 2019. There were around 50 participants. The preparation for the program started early during the day, with volunteers drawing the auspicious kolam (rangoli), decorating the lamps and altar, while constantly chanting their mantra.
The Puja started at 4:30 p.m. in the satsang hall. It was accompanied by chanting the names of the Divine Mother and bhajans (devotional songs) in praise of Goddess Durga. It concluded around 6:30 p.m., followed by Swamiji distributing prasad and dinner for all. The Puja aroused positive energy and vibrations.
Christmas Celebrations — December 15
Christmas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at M.A. Center Dallas on the 15th of December, 2019. The event included a Christmas satsang, bhajans and Christmas carols led by Br. Shantamrita Chaitanya. The insightful words of Swamiji drew the minds of those present to the real meaning behind celebrating Christmas.
The Amrita Bala Kendra (ABK) kids actively participated and helped coordinate the fun activities that followed.
Mother’s Kitchen — December 21
Volunteers at M.A. Center Dallas helped prepare and serve around 150 lunch meals at Our Daily Bread, downtown Dallas, on the 21st of December, 2019.
